What can adolescents do to help in the fight against crime?

For families and individuals residing in Chile the threat of violent crime is a fear that we all have to live with. Just pick up the newspaper or turn on the T.V. and see the headlines of murder, rape and assaults reported from coast to coast. There is an answer to the realization that you may be a victim of a violent crime, and that is to be prepared to defend yourself.

A crime of violence or violent crime is a crime in which the offender uses or threatens to use violence or violent force against the victim. These include crimes in which the violent act is the objective of the attack, such as murder, along with crimes in which violence is the means to an end, such as robbery. 

Why is it important for adolescents to help in the fight against crime?

It is important because you can make your city better than before !!! if you tell somebody that you have seen a crime and with this, only with your information, you can protect to your friends, family and yourself of course !!!

Can you do very much to help? Absolutelly yes, as we said before if you see a rob, a burgle, a steal or a pickpocket running on the street just call the police or go to the nearest police station and you will warn another crime or another victim of this.

Advices on what you should do:

Another important thing that you can do :- if you're going to go out with your friends or family, don't do this carrying valuable things, showing off your cellphone or money on the street.

-Tell your family put cameras in your own house or alamrs in direct connection with police and their cellphones, or if this is necessary in connection with your neighbors.

That is the best way which you can warn the crime and protect to you and your beloved people but be always careful.
